Within De Panne, the seafront and Dumont quarter are easily walkable. The Belgian coastal tram runs along the promenade and connects De Panne to nearby towns along the coast — Koksijde (for Ten Duinen and the Delvaux Museum) is about 10 minutes east by tram.
Cycling is the best way to explore the wider area. The dune paths and cycle routes through the Westhoek are well-signed, and you can cycle across the French border to the dunes at Ghyvelde. Bike hire is available in town.
