De Panne's star attraction is its vast natural dune landscape. The Westhoek nature reserve stretches along the French border, offering hours of walking through shifting sand valleys, pine woodland, and open dunes that feel a world away from the built-up Belgian coast. The town also has a well-preserved Belle Époque and Art Deco neighbourhood, a major theme park, and a fine arts museum in the nearby village of Saint-Idesbald.
