Banski Dvor (the Ban's Court) is a handsome early 20th-century building that served as the seat of the Ban — the royal governor — during the interwar Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Today it functions as Banja Luka's main cultural centre, hosting concerts, theatre performances, art exhibitions, and community events.
The building is architecturally significant as a fine example of Yugoslav neoclassical official architecture, and its position at the heart of the city — facing the pedestrian zone — makes it a natural reference point. The programme changes regularly; check locally for current events, as catching a concert or performance here gives a good sense of Banja Luka's cultural life.
