The city centre is compact and walkable. The main sights — the fortress, the mosques, the cathedral, the riverside promenade, and the pedestrian zone — can all be reached on foot from the central accommodation.
For the rafting area and other destinations outside the centre, taxis are cheap and widely available. Uber and local rideshare apps operate here. The local bus network exists but is primarily useful for reaching the suburbs, not for tourist sightseeing.
Cycling along the river promenade is pleasant; there are occasional bike rental options near the fortress in summer.
