Beaches

Primorsko's peninsula has beaches on both sides, which is its main geographical asset. The northern beach (Severniy Plazh) is longer and wider, with calmer water; the southern beach (Yuzhen Plazh) is smaller and tends to have slightly more surf. Both are sandy and backed by low dunes and pine trees rather than the concrete of the bigger northern resorts. The water is warm from June to September. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire; the beaches are free to access.

The quietest swimming is a few kilometres outside town in either direction, where the coastline of Strandzha meets the sea without development.
