Eating Out

Primorsko's restaurant scene is modest and geared almost entirely to summer visitors. The main street has a string of Bulgarian mehanas (taverns) serving grilled meats, salads, and fish — the standard Black Sea summer repertoire. Fresh fish from the local catch is a reliable order; the ubiquitous tarator (cold cucumber and yoghurt soup) is the right thing to eat in the summer heat. Prices are well below Western European beach resort standards. Most restaurants are open only from May to September.
