Beaches

Murter's coastline is varied enough that you can find a crowded family beach, a quiet naturist cove, and a wild pebble bay all within a short drive of each other. If you have access to a small motor boat, touring the island's less accessible shores is the best way to find a spot to yourself.

Slanica beach, in the town of Murter, is the island's most popular. It is a small sandy beach with a hotel and camping nearby, busy with families and younger visitors in summer. Walking along the coast past the campsite brings you to a quieter pebbly naturist beach.

Kosirina beach lies along the road between Jezera and Murter and faces south. The setting is fairly wild — minimal facilities, just showers, toilets, and a small kiosk — and the beach is partly sandy, partly rocky. The campsite here operates an informal clothing-optional policy.

Jazine is a sheltered bay at Tisno, partly on the island side, partly on the mainland. It faces north, which makes it less fierce in the afternoon heat. The central section is pebbly with concrete-arranged sides; pine trees provide shade, and there is a small beach bar, chair rental, and a sand volleyball court within the campsite.
