Tisno is the village at the bridge between the island and the mainland — half on Murter, half on the coast — and it is the most lively of the four settlements in summer. The Garden Tisno site, a strip of pine-shaded beach on the south side of the bay, hosts a sequence of week-long electronic music festivals from late June into August that draw a young international crowd.
Outside the festival weeks, Tisno is calmer: a few harbour restaurants, the church of the Holy Spirit on a small rise, and the bridge itself, which lifts to let yachts through the narrow channel twice a day.
