Orebić is a small town, but it makes good use of its setting. The Maritime Museum tells the story of the town's seafaring heyday with unusual depth. The Franciscan Monastery of Our Lady of the Angels sits high on the hill above the town and rewards the climb with views across to Korčula. The beaches stretching either side of the centre are long, pebbly, and backed by fragrant pine trees. Most people also take the ferry to Korčula Town, 15 minutes away — one of the best small medieval cities on the Adriatic.
