Things to Do

Rab rewards slow exploration. The medieval old town is compact enough to cover in an afternoon, but the alleys, towers, and waterfront promenade invite you to stay longer. The island's beaches — sandy rather than pebbly, which is rare on this coast — draw most visitors to Lopar peninsula. Beyond those two headlines, Rab has a strong naturist tradition, a sobering WWII memorial at Kampor, and a landscape that shifts dramatically from lush pine forest on the sheltered side to bare limestone karst on the windswept north.
