Amelie is the place to break a long Upper Town walk for cake and coffee. The patisserie counter is the main draw — towers of macarons in twenty colours, fruit tarts, gâteaux, éclairs — but the kitchen also turns out respectable savoury quiches and a short brunch menu. The pale pink interior is unapologetically Parisian.
It is on Vlaška not far from the cathedral; the second branch is on Frankopanska in the Lower Town. Open all day; expect a queue for cake on Saturday afternoons. Cash and card.
