A reliable Czech restaurant in the spa district, Promenada serves the classics with competence and without undue ceremony: svíčková na smetaně (beef sirloin in cream sauce with bread dumplings), roast duck with red cabbage, and the other dishes that Czech cooking does better than its reputation often suggests.
The room is pleasant and the wine list includes decent Moravian and Bohemian bottles. Prices are moderate for the location. A good choice for lunch or dinner if you want Czech food without the dubious tourist-trap versions that sometimes populate promenade restaurants.
