St George's Basilica is one of the oldest churches inside Prague Castle, and its plain Romanesque interior comes as a useful reset after the grandeur of St Vitus. The bright Baroque facade hides a much older church, with heavy stone walls, simple arches, and the tombs of early Přemyslid rulers.
It is a quick visit, but a strong one. The basilica gives the castle complex some of its medieval weight.
