New Jewish Cemetery

Prague's New Jewish Cemetery is best known to visitors as the burial place of Franz Kafka, whose grave is signposted from the entrance. The cemetery is much larger than that single stop, with late 19th- and early 20th-century memorials that show the city's Jewish community after the older Josefov cemetery had closed.

It is a quiet, reflective visit and easy to combine with Olšany Cemetery or Žižkov Television Tower. Men should cover their heads, and the cemetery is closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
