Since 1993, the 83-hectare grounds of Tranekær Castle have been the site of TICKON — the Tranekær International Centre for Art and Nature. More than 20 Danish and international artists have created permanent land art and sculpture installations integrated into the natural landscape: works placed around the castle lake, in the woodland, and across the estate grounds. Artists include Magdalena Abakanowicz, Per Kirkeby, and Richard Serra. Open year-round sunrise to sunset; admission free.
