Lohals Beach

Sandy beach just north of the village, quiet outside high summer

The beach stretches in a long shallow arc north of Lohals harbour, with fine pale sand and water that warms enough for swimming from late June to early September. Compared with the south-coast beaches of Langeland it is more exposed to wind, but the shallow gradient makes it suitable for families and the sand stays clean.

There are no organised facilities — bring water and shade — but a path along the back of the beach connects to the village and the small holiday-house developments above. The forested headland to the south offers shelter when the wind picks up.
