Lohals Harbour

Small fishing and pleasure harbour at the northern tip of Langeland

The harbour is the centre of village life. A protective stone mole shelters a basin used by working fishing boats, the local sailing club, and a steady trickle of visiting yachts crossing the Langelandsbælt strait. The car ferry to Spodsbjerg on Funen runs from a separate dock just to the south.

A short promenade with a few benches, a kiosk in summer, and the harbourmaster's office makes up the visible infrastructure. The view north across the strait toward Sjælland is exposed and often windy; on clear evenings it is also one of the best sunset spots on the island.
