The regional museum for Lolland and Falster, housed at Banegårdspladsen in Maribo, covers archaeology and cultural history from the Stone Age to the 20th century. Its most celebrated exhibit is "Lola" — the 5,700-year-old remains of a Stone Age girl found on Lolland, whose genome has been studied as part of major research into early European populations. The museum also holds a strong collection of medieval Christian art, including rare carved wooden crucifixes. Open Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–16:00.
