Næstved Museum covers the history of the town and the surrounding south Zealand region, from the medieval period through the 20th century. The collection includes local craft and trade objects — particularly from the leatherworking and metalworking traditions — alongside everyday domestic items and archaeological finds from the area.
The museum occupies a historic building in the town centre. It is a modest but well-organised regional museum: not essential, but a good complement to the churches if you want to understand the town's history as a trading and market centre.
