Weis' Stue

A sixteenth-century inn on Torvet, directly opposite the cathedral. The building leans visibly — the entire facade is a couple of degrees off plumb — and the interior is panelled in dark wood with low beams, hand-painted tiles, and a few centuries of accumulated bottles and tankards on the shelves.

The kitchen does traditional Danish: smørrebrød, pickled herring, frikadeller, hakkebøf with fried onions, the classic stegt flæsk med persillesovs (crisp pork belly with parsley sauce). Friendly, slightly slow, and entirely worth it. Beds upstairs if you want to extend the experience.
