Langelands Museum

Island history museum covering maritime heritage and prehistoric finds

Langelands Museum covers the island's history from prehistoric times to the 20th century. It documents Langeland's surprisingly significant maritime past — in 1898 Rudkøbing had 152 ships registered here — and includes archaeological finds from the surrounding farms and coastline. The museum also administers the H.C. Ørsted Exhibition nearby. The collection is compact and well-curated for a small island museum.
