The car-and-passenger ferry from Munalaid harbour, on the mainland west of Pärnu, takes about an hour and runs two to four times a day depending on the season. Schedules are tide- and ice-dependent in winter; in deep winter it is sometimes possible to cross by ice road across the frozen sea.
Saartelink operates a small-aircraft service from Pärnu Airport in summer — twelve minutes in the air, with a short runway on the island's northeast side. The flight is occasionally cancelled by wind or fog.
The simplest option for a day trip is to drive or take a bus to Munalaid (about an hour from Pärnu), park, and walk on as a foot passenger.
