Hell Hunt ("Gentle Wolf" in Estonian) opened in 1993 as Estonia's first craft pub after independence, and it has been a fixture of Old Town nightlife ever since. The formula is straightforward — Estonian and imported craft beers on tap, good pub food, a relaxed atmosphere — but in a neighbourhood full of themed tourist traps, the lack of pretension is its own distinction.
It gets busy on weekends, particularly with locals and Scandinavian visitors who know to look beyond the surface tourist strip. The cellar bar is cosier and quieter; the main floor is more animated and better for people-watching.
