Kirkjubour is 15 km south of Torshavn on the southwest coast of Streymoy. The road is winding and dramatic, following the clifftops above the sound. Bus service runs from Torshavn; check the Strandfaraskip Landsins timetable for current schedules. The journey takes about 20 minutes by car, longer by bus. There is a small car park at the village and no parking fee.
