Kaarlela Museum of Local History and Culture

Kaarlela Museum of Local History and Culture is an open-air local museum showing rural life around Kokkola in the 19th century. The site includes a windmill, stable, workshop, forge, smoke sauna, drying barn, cottage, tannery and carding works.

It pairs naturally with nearby Kaarlela Church and gives a more grounded view of local Ostrobothnian life than the town-centre museums alone.
