Built between 1478 and 1539 in flamboyant Gothic style, this former parliament building is one of Grenoble's most handsome historic structures. The slate roof was a deliberate show of wealth, and the facade is full of charming inconsistencies — misaligned windows, unfinished carvings, half-vegetal dolphins symbolizing the Dauphiné region. It served as the seat of local government, treasury, and justice until the Revolution. Now home to the Isere Council.
