Cahors has a train station on the Paris-Toulouse main line, with regular TGV services making it roughly four hours from Paris Gare d'Austerlitz (with a change at Brive or direct). From Toulouse the journey is under two hours. The station is a ten-minute walk from the old town. By car, Cahors is 109 km north of Toulouse via the A20 motorway. The drive from Périgueux takes about an hour and a half through the Lot valley, which is scenic enough to recommend over the motorway.
