Musée Dupuy Mestreau

Musée Dupuy Mestreau is an ethnographic museum in an 18th-century townhouse built for the Marquis de Monconseil. Its collection is a useful counterweight to Saintes' Roman monuments, showing everyday life through clothing, headgear, jewellery, ceramics and household objects.

The building is part of the attraction, with period rooms that give the displays a local setting rather than a plain museum case.
