Walk to the esplanade at the northern edge of the village for the best view of the surrounding landscape: the Puy Mary volcano rises to the south, and the green valleys of the Maronne and Rhue rivers spread out below. On a clear day the panorama extends across the Monts du Cantal.
This is a natural stopping point on any walk through the village and takes no more than ten minutes from the main square. In summer there is usually a food vendor nearby.
