Things to Do

Salers is small enough to cover on foot in half a day, but its medieval centre rewards slow exploration. The town is listed among France's "plus beaux villages" and the architecture is the attraction — dark volcanic stone, round towers, and steep slate roofs that look like they've barely changed since the 16th century.
