Musée des Vieux Métiers

A small museum in a Renaissance house in the village centre, the Musée des Vieux Métiers (Museum of Old Trades) displays tools and reconstructed workshops from the traditional crafts of the Cantal — coopering, blacksmithing, weaving, cheese-making. The collection is modest but earnestly presented, and it fills in the picture of what life in this isolated mountain region looked like before the 20th century.

Open April to October; closed in winter. Worth half an hour if you are interested in rural life and material culture.
