Bonifacio is at the southern tip of Corsica. Buses and summer services link it with Porto-Vecchio and Ajaccio, but a car is the most useful way to combine the town with beaches, viewpoints, and the inland roads.
Ferries also connect Bonifacio with Santa Teresa Gallura in Sardinia. The crossing is short, but wind can affect schedules, so do not plan a tight same-day connection.
