Corte sits on the single-track railway line that connects Ajaccio to Bastia — one of the most scenic train rides in France. The journey from Ajaccio takes about two hours; from Bastia, around ninety minutes. Trains run a handful of times daily in each direction, with more services in summer. The station is a ten-minute walk from the old town.
By road, Corte is on the N193, the main cross-island road connecting Bastia (about 70km north) and Ajaccio (about 80km south). A car makes it easier to explore the gorges, which are not otherwise accessible except on foot from the town.
