The café terraces in Haut-de-Cagnes are the reason to linger. A glass of Provence rosé in the late afternoon, with the old stone warming in the light and a view down to the coast — it is one of those unforced pleasures the Riviera still does well. The lower town has the standard café strip along the beach road; functional but anonymous compared to the village above.
