La Palme d'Or at the Hôtel Martinez holds two Michelin stars and the status of the most celebrated restaurant in Cannes — the place where the industry lunches during the film festival, where tables book a year in advance for the May weeks, and where the cooking is seriously accomplished year-round. Chef Christian Sinicropi has developed a cuisine that is rooted in Provence while reaching for international influences.
The menus run to several courses and several hundred euros per person. The terrace looking over the sea justifies much of the premium. If the full meal is out of reach, the hotel bar at ground level serves cocktails and simpler food with the same view. Open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner; closed Monday.
