Rue d'Antibes

Rue d'Antibes runs parallel to the Croisette, one block inland, and is the city's main shopping street for people who cannot afford the Croisette boutiques — or simply do not want to. It is a long, lively pedestrianised street with a mix of French chain stores, independent boutiques, cosmetics shops, jewellers, and cafes. The atmosphere is more local, the prices more human, and the pavement more comfortable.

At the western end near Le Suquet the street opens up into a more residential neighbourhood; at the eastern end it connects to the area around the Palais des Festivals. The side streets off Rue d'Antibes are worth exploring: Rue Meynadier, which cuts across to the market quarter, is one of the best food shopping streets in the city.
