Fréjus is served by Saint-Raphaël-Valescure railway station, about 5 kilometres away in the neighbouring town of Saint-Raphaël — the two towns effectively merge along the coast. From the station, local buses connect to central Fréjus. The Nice–Marseille main line runs through here, with frequent trains to Nice (around one hour), Cannes (30 minutes), and Marseille (around one and a half hours). From Paris, the TGV to Nice or Toulon is the fastest option, then a local train.
The nearest international airport is Nice Côte d'Azur, about 70 kilometres east. A hire car makes exploration of the Estérel massif and the Var hinterland much easier. By road, Fréjus is on the A8 motorway, exit 38 (Fréjus) or exit 37 (Saint-Raphaël).
