Marseille's old law courts, built between 1743 and 1747 by the Gérard brothers on Place Daviel, just behind the Hôtel de Ville. The main floor features a superb wrought iron balcony with "ox-eye" panels by the sculptor Verdiguier. The building now houses municipal offices, but the facade alone is worth a detour.
