The Pont Vieux is the old stone bridge over the Orb at Beziers, with Romanesque origins and centuries of later repairs. For a long period it was the main crossing between Provence and Toulouse, which made it an important route for trade as well as a local landmark.
Today it is most rewarding for the view back toward the cathedral and the old town rising above the river.
