Le Castelet is a small, family-run bistro on Rue Saint-Lubin, just up the hill from the château. The menu is short, traditional, and changes regularly — confit de canard, river fish in beurre blanc, andouillette, and a respectable tarte tatin for dessert. The wine list focuses on producers from nearby Touraine appellations.
The dining room is intimate enough that booking is a good idea, especially at weekends. Lunch is the quieter and slightly cheaper option, with a fixed menu of two or three courses. The kitchen leans heavy and rich rather than refined, which is the point of eating in this part of France.
