Getting There

Cholet sits at the western edge of the Loire region, roughly halfway between Nantes and Angers. The TGV-connected mainlines run through both of those cities rather than through Cholet itself, so the usual approach is to take the high-speed train from Paris to Nantes (about two hours) and then a regional TER to Cholet (around an hour).

By car, Cholet is on the A87 motorway between Angers and La Roche-sur-Yon, with the Nantes ring road forty minutes to the north-west. Cholet Le Pontreau Airport, two kilometres north of town, takes only general aviation traffic and is not a useful arrival point for visitors.
