Laval is on the high-speed line between Paris and Rennes; TGV services from Paris Montparnasse take about an hour and twenty minutes, making it an easy day trip if you really want one. Slower regional trains continue west to Brittany and east to Le Mans.
By road, the A81 motorway connects Laval to Paris (around 300 km) and to Rennes. The nearest large airports are at Nantes and Rennes.
