Jardin de la Perrine

The Jardin de la Perrine sits on a terrace above the right bank of the Mayenne, with formal flower beds, an old orangery, and views down to the river. It is the town's main public park, much-loved by locals on summer afternoons, and contains the grave of Henri Rousseau, brought back from Paris in 1947.

The garden is open year-round and free to enter. Combine it with a walk along the quays for the most pleasant route through the old town.
