Sarreguemines has direct train connections to Metz (about 75 minutes) and Saarbrücken in Germany (about 20 minutes), making it easy to combine with either city. The station is a short walk from the town centre and the main tourist sights. Trains from Strasbourg require a change at Haguenau and take around 90 minutes.
By car, Sarreguemines sits on the A4 motorway between Metz and Strasbourg, with a direct junction. From Paris, the drive is about four hours. The German city of Saarbrücken is 20 kilometres to the north and has the nearest major airport, served by Ryanair and Lufthansa among others.
