Ranville War Cemetery holds the graves of many soldiers from the British 6th Airborne Division, which landed by parachute and glider in the area on D-Day. There are more than 2,000 Commonwealth graves, along with German and other burials, making it a quiet companion stop to Pegasus Bridge and the nearby airborne sites.
