The alignments are the reason to come to Carnac, and they are genuinely remarkable. But the surrounding Morbihan coastline and the Gulf of Morbihan just to the east add considerably to the case for spending more than a single afternoon here. A day for the stones, a day for the water — that is not a bad framework.
