Dinan does Breton food well — galettes (buckwheat crepes with savoury fillings), fresh seafood from the coast, local cheese, and cider. The restaurants around the port tend to have the best atmosphere; those in the upper town near Place des Cordeliers are more convenient if you're not making the descent to the river.
