Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery

Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery holds 2,871 Canadian dead, many of them killed during the fighting to close the Falaise Gap in 1944. The cemetery is a sober stop for travellers following the later stages of the Normandy campaign.

It sits north of Falaise and works best as part of a wider Second World War route through the Falaise Pocket sites.
