Getting There

Saint-Malo has a train station in the modern part of the city, a ten-minute walk from the Intra-Muros. Direct trains run from Paris Montparnasse (about three hours) via Rennes, and from Rennes (one hour) which connects the high-speed TGV network. The station is at the Place de Rocabey; the centre is well signposted from there.

By ferry, Condor Ferries and Brittany Ferries operate services from Poole, Portsmouth, and Weymouth, making Saint-Malo the main English Channel crossing point for western Brittany. The ferry terminal is at the eastern end of the Intra-Muros. There are also ferry connections to Jersey and Guernsey in summer, and a fast catamaran service from Dinard airport on the other side of the Rance.
