A small bistrot tucked into the old town, away from the brasserie strip. Le Bistrot des Quatre Chats specializes in tightly written daily menus of Norman cooking — heavy on cream, butter, apples, and Camembert, with the occasional inspired side dish from beyond the region.
The dining room is small and informal, the prices reasonable for the quality, and reservations recommended on weekends. A good change of pace from the seafood brasseries on the quay.
